Sinai Temple supports the following youth groups for all Jewish teenagers in the central Illinois area. Membership in Sinai Temple is not required. JUNIOR YOUTH GROUP Younger teens up through the 8th grade can participate in the Junior Youth Group. SENIOR YOUTH GROUP Champaign-Urbana Temple Youth (CUTY) is an youth group organization for all East Central Illinois Jewish teenagers in the 9th-12th grades. (8th graders may join after January.) The group meets for the purposes of educational, religious, social, and community activities. It is associated with the North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY) and is part of NFTY-CAR (Chicago Area Region). Youth Group provides our teenagers with an opportunity to interact with Jewish teens throughout Illinois, the Midwest, and the United States. Several members of our Youth Group have held offices in the regional organization. We strongly encourage all teens to take an active part in our Youth Group.
