A subsidiary of CUJF, the Endowment Foundation is dedicated to enhancing and preserving the quality of Jewish life in our community by establishing and maintaining a secure financial base for the wide range of programs and services designated by its individual funds. In order to secure long-term support for Jewish organizations and individuals in the Champaign-Urbana area, CUJEF was established to receive, hold, invest, and manage contributions and to utilize the earnings accordingly.

The Champaign-Urbana Jewish Federation (CUJF) is a secular, non-profit organization that has served the CU community since 1929. Its directives over the (almost) past century have evolved as the needs of the Jews locally and abroad have changed. Its founding purpose of service of our local community’s most needy expanded to supporting the development of the State of Israel, to sponsoring refugees from the former Soviet Union, to providing a broad range of educational programs and humanitarian services for our increasingly diverse local community.

Hillel, the foundation for Jewish campus life at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, aims to create a pluralistic environment that both welcomes and engages as many students as possible to explore and celebrate Judaism.

The Chabad Jewish Center was established in August 2003. The aim is to give meaning, share joy and add spirituality to the every day. Our dream is to teach these values in a warm and nurturing environment where people can grow together, enjoying life and Judaism simultaneously.

Mikvah Mei Leah, 17 E. University Ave., Champaign

Mikvah Mei Leah is a community Mikvah.  While not available for conversions, there are a number of other life milestones for which it might be used.  Please contact Rabbi Alan for information or for help scheduling an appointment.
