Please plan on joining us in the North Pod on Sunday mornings for these exciting classes taught by Rabbi Alan. Classes are designed so that each session may be appreciated on its own, so there are no pre-requisites. Come to one session, or come to them all! We will meet from 10:30-11:30 AM.
Jews on the Small Screen
From the early days of television, Jews and Jewish themes have been a visible presence. Through show clips, Rabbi Alan will explore how Jews became involved with this medium, and discuss how Jewish themes have been handled on television throughout the years.

The Talmud provides an intriguing mix of legal discussions, parables, and stream-of-consciousness conversations, all of which have shaped the development of current Jewish thought and practice. Join us for an overview of the history and composition of this text, and an exploration of key Talmudic passages. All reading and discussion will be in English; no knowledge of Hebrew or Aramaic (the two key languages of the Talmud) is required.
