Sinai Temple ADULT EDUCATION Religious School :: Youth Group
SUMMER AT SINAI CAMP 2011 - For details & to register, click here.
Sinai Temple Religious School offers classes in Judaica, including Torah, Jewish history, prayer, theology, Jewish holidays, and Hebrew language. We strive for each child to develop pride in his/her Jewish identity by learning about, experiencing, and relating to the religious, cultural, and historical aspects of Judaism.
Sinai Temple provides a variety of adult education programs designed to appeal to all adult members of Sinai Temple. The programs are open to non-Temple members, as well.
Sundays at Sinai :: Scholar-in-Residence Program :: Adult Education Programs
SUNDAYS AT SINAI
The Adult Education Committee arranges periodic seminars. Programs include lectures, discussions, dance performances, debates, and tours. Except for the tours, all of the programs are held at Sinai Temple, and are free.
SCHOLAR-IN-RESIDENCE PROGRAM
The Marvin Steinberg Scholar-in-Residence program presents an intensive weekend of lectures and discussions on a subject determined by the area of expertise of the visiting scholar. Held periodically, it is funded by the Marvin Steinberg Memorial Fund.
ADULT EDUCATION
The Rabbi and other Temple members also coordinate a variety of programs for adult education. Often, the Rabbi conducts mini-courses one night a week during the year, and the Rabbi conducts an Adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah program. Other such study groups meet at various times during the week, and have included such topics as basic Judaism, beginning Hebrew, Yiddish, Jewish literature, Talmud study, and Jewish cooking. Contact Rabbi Klein for details on these courses.
